Visit with Aunt Flea

Aunt Flea came to visit us and the kids loved every minute...we wish she lived closer.
Nicholas finally chose his costume...He wanted to be a knight and he really loved having a shield and sword....He was still pretty cute...He was a very sweet knight and he even shared his sword with a friend at school who had forgotten his.....Emily was our cute fairy and she only had the costume on for about 30 minutes....funny all of the fuss for that short time.....

I had a very sad week...My friend and extra limb of five years moved away to Missouri... we had a big going away party and then she hopped on a plane and is gone...It will be a big transition, but I am already planning my first  visit.....

Brenda and I at the airport before the tears started flowing....Lindsay, Brenda, and I at the big going away party.......

October

We had a lot of fun this October....Although we don't have much fall weather we do still enjoy all of the festivities...
Nicholas's school had their annual dress up and parade...It is so cute to see all of the kids in costume enjoying their moment to shine as they parade around in front of the parents and grandparents.  Nicholas waved his hand the whole time like he was miss America.....
We had to get over to Disneyland to see it all decorated up....I love this time of year because the crowds have died down and you feel like it is your local park....They added to the Halloween decor this year and we love it...
My grandma and mom came for a visit and we took them over to Disney...They had a lot of fun with the kids and my 88 year old grandma can keep up....she is amazing.
Nicholas and his class got to pick out their very own pumpkins....
OUR Little pumpkin got more time hanging with the other pumpkins....

8 months old

Well our little girl is now 8 months old.  I cannot believe it...Today we got her pics done in her Halloween costume...She is a little fairy...do you think she will like these pics when she is older?  I don't care...How long do I get to pick out her clothes for her?  From what I here about girls-not for long...So for now I will deck her out in bows, dresses, fairy wings, and tulle and she will love it.....

Our little Pumpkins

We kicked off fall with a visit to Irvine Parks pumpkin patch...The kids were pretty cooperative for the pics...aren't they cute.
She almost blends into the pumpkins...

We wanted to get some more fall pics, but Mammoth had other ideas and it started to snow a lot...so we bought a pumpkin and made our own fall in the snow...

We enjoyed our annual Tustin Tiller days parade...The kids love to sit on the curb and watch all of the fun things go by...The tops are the bands and the tractors...

You cannot go to the parade and not go to the carnival..We met up with the cousins there and Nicholas had a ball on the rides....
We also saw some friends and that was fun, because daddy didn't have to go on the kiddie rides this year.
Matty turned one and it just made us realize how fast time flies...These kids have been together since their older siblings were born 4+ years ago....Look at this cute group..I hope they don't have anymore birthdays anytime soon.....

We visited the Santa Ana zoo with Hunter and they had a ball..Nicholas thinks he runs the place he has been there so much.
We got the chance to go out and see Chris's grandma who is now 92.  The kids enjoyed seeing her and she just loved to finally meet Emily.
We celebrated Chris's 37th birthday at dinner with his brother, dad and nephews.  Doesn't look a day over 30 does he..

NIcholas's class made some apple pies and I got the pleasure of helping.. They were so cute and Nicholas got to be my little helper when we took them to cook in the oven...What letter are they working on???? HMMM   could it be A for apple.

September

Nicholas started his first day of his pre-k school..He has the same teacher as last year which we are very happy about and he is still at the creek.  He loves school and was very excited to go.
Emily and mommy will be spending MWF mornings together getting in some good bonding time....
Emily had her first wagon ride and Nicholas couldn't wait to get in with her and get a photo.  She loved the ride and sat up like a big girl the whole time....
We spent some time costume shopping and Nicholas tried on a few...The hot dog was hilarious, but I just could not put my kid in a hot dog costume(fun for a quick photo)..  He looked awful silly.....

The robot was cute, but as you can see from the face he did not feel it....So stayed tuned to find out what costumes he and Emily did choose.....They should look pretty cute this year...

train and Hawaii

we recently took the metro link to San Diego for the day(it kind of gives me chills after the latest crash), but we had a great time...It took about 2 hours and we could just watch the scenes go by.
while in San Diego we went to the museum Midway(the aircraft carrier) and toured it.  Nicholas loved all the old airplanes parked there.  Chris explained to him how they landed and took off.  It was amazing how enormous it was.
More on the carrier.
We just got back from Hawaii with the moreys and we had a really nice relaxing time.  Nicholas stayed with the grandparents and I think they had more activity then we did.  Emily was so easy she just went with the flow..she napped on the beach and just hung out enjoying the Island beauty.

The lighthouse was on a point and the view was breathtaking.  We have more pics that I will try and post soon...

Bouncing fun

Emily in her bouncing debut...

August

Daddy and his boy enjoying a summer day....
I decided to make Emily a tutu....I thought how hard could it be...It wasn't but I made it too long and she just wanted to eat it...I did manage to get some awfully cute pics of her in it though....

This was a fun game....I would put this on her head and she would laugh and look all around for it and then try to wiggle her head to get it off....This went on for about 10 minutes...It was so cute.

It is beautiful up in the canyon...
We had a playdate with some school friends...they enjoyed jumping off the waterfall and swimming all over.

underwater

Chris got a new underwater camera and he and Nicholas had fun trying it out in the swimming pool.  It takes pretty good pictures and we can't wait to try it more.
