Our Third annual visit to the Santa Train

Last night found us waiting in line for Santa at Irvine Park. They have a train ride that takes you right to him and then the kids get to tell him what they want For Christmas. Nicholas had a ball with Megan and the other kids. The line was a bit long and we almost starved to death, but its about creating long lasting memories right?? We hit Macaroni Grill after and Nicholas finally hit the bed about 9pm...It was really fun and we cant wait until next year.

Thanksgiving up in NO. Cal

We went up to Elk Grove for a week over Thanksgiving. We had a nice long visit which allowed more time for seeing friends and family. I got to see my high school girlfriends Pennie, Shannon, and Jenny 3 out of 4 of us are pregnant. The kids had a ball together. We got to go to my sister Felicias house and spend a day with Tiffany at the Train museum. The grandparents got lots of nIcholas time and everyone was happy.

Nicholas and his So. Cal cousins

We had a nice Turkey dinner here with The Aufdembergs before heading up north. We managed to get some cute pics of NIcholas with Carter, drew and Nolan.

Halloween 2007

We had such a great Halloween. We had the Moreys, Dickinsons, and Rochs over for dinner and then trick or treated the neighborhood...It is so much fun for the kids to do it together. They had a blast and I think the parents had just as much fun. we had yummy Chili, corn bread, and salad for dinner with Pumpkin bread for dessert. The kids were wild indians by the time we got back from the treating and they all had big bags full....I am not sure what we are going to do with it all. This is one of our favorite holidays and Nicholas even got to have his mommom and poppop come and go out with him too....

Fall Days

We have been enjoying the fall except for the lack of actual Fall weather and except for the smoke that lasted 2 weeks due to our big fire. We have not been affected by that so we are very thankful. Nicholas is enjoying it and all the pumpkins and halloween decorations. His class got to pick out there very pumpkin and has been making lots of scary treats. Aunt Felicia gave us a haunted gingerbread house to decorate and we had fun doing that although I think Chris and I did most of the work while our little Godzilla ate stuff off of it.

Another big moment was getting his first Cleates. Daddy took him to Sports Mart and they picked them out and now the kid thinks he is a big time soccer star....They are so cute.

I just had my 6 month visit and am doing well...Everything is on track and baby is due to come February 13th. I even have the hospital scheduled. the only advantage of having to have a C-section. So we don't know the sex, but we know the birthstone and birthsign.....We are getting excited and baby is not giving me a break wiht constant kicking and rolling.....Cant wait to meet it.....

Pumpkin Patch

It is that time of year again and I love it...The fall weather and the beautiful days. We of course had to make our first trip to the Patch...Nicholas had so much fun exploring all of the pumpkins and scarecrows. He is going to love Halloween this year.

visit from the Ragsdales

I have not blogged in awhile I guess my pregnancy has made me quite lazy...I am feeling good although at 5 and 1/2 months you would think that I would not need naps anymore..\
The Ragsdales were in Carlsbad and Nicholas and I drove to visit them. We had such a good time and saw Oceanside pier for the first time...It was a great time and NIcholas had so much fun running around with his cousins.

More pics of Road Trip

Road Trip to Colorado

We went on our first Road trip from August 16-25th. We went from California thru Nevada and Utah to Colorado. It was a 2 day 20 hour trip and Nicholas did so awesome. We got to see some beautiful parts of the Western states. Utah is awesome with all the open land and red rock and cliffs. It was a long trip, but well worth it. You could never see all this scenary otherwise. We reached Fort Collins, Colorado and spent a great week with our friends the Patricks. In colorado we went tubing, went to some great parks, and of course went to Chris's alumni CU. It was great family time and Nicholas had a ball. We left on Thursday for our drive home. we stopped in Breckenridge, Co for one night and I loved the quaint little mountain town. Friday took us as far as Mexican Hat, Utah(Pop 28). We enjoyed the company of the locals at the swinging steak restaurant that has apparently been featured on the food network. It was really fun to hear how it is to live in such a small town. Sat. morning we did the last 10 hour stretch home which took us through Monument Valley. It was amazing...AFter Laughlin it was a long trip and Nicholas had reached his limit.....I felt like crying when we finally made it home, but it was a super trip and well worth the last tourturous hours.....Cant wait for next time....With a second baby coming it may be awhile...

Paris with my sister

In March of 2007 I went to Paris and London with my sister, Felicia and although it was in the past tense I felt like posting a pic so those who did not know of our great time could see how much fun we had. It was the trip of a lifetime and the highlight of my year(other than getting pregnant).....

I am already pooching out a bit, but second babys do that I guess.....We are excited about our future little Aufdemberg.

Aunt Tiff sent Nicholas this batman cape/mask in the mail yesterday and he has not wanted to take it off since. He wants to wear it even when it is hot....He now has a heat rash on his back from wearing it all around and sweating. Great gift, but who knew he would be so addicted. He woke up from his nap today and wanted it on first thing...

Saturday, July 28, 2007

back in June my sister, Tiffany got married. It was a beautiful wedding in my parents backyard. I was a bridesmaid and Nicholas a ringbearer. He did great and was so proud of his tuxedo. Tiffany and Mike were so happy and Tiff was crying through the whole ceremony. They are doing well and rumor has it that Tiff is currently putting wood flooring down in their house all by herself...Wow! I am so happy for her....

Intro

Well I thought I would try my hand at blogging. we have a lot of family and friends spread around and I would like to call them all regularly, but you know how that goes. So here goes nothing. We are enjoying our warm So. cal weather, but it is heating up a bit. We are in the pool a lot and are just starting to use the air conditioning. No complaints though. Nicholas is now 3 as of May 1 and he is swimming all over the pool. I would like to say his method is perfect, but he does what his swim teacher calls "The BOb" which is essentially him bobbing up and down around the pool...He is however pool safe....The rest will follow. He and daddy have a ball jumping off the waterfall and going down the slide.

I am starting my 12th week of my second pregnancy and we are very excited. I am due February 16, 2008. We are not finding out the sex so you will all have to wait. I will have my first ultrasound next friday so I will try and post a pic(if I can figure this thing out)....Anyway I am going to see how this works and if I like it then you will have to keep posted...

On Tuesday Nicholas started school. He is actually in summer camp, but it is where he is going to school in September so he is preparing. We went and picked out a special CARS backpack and that just made it the most exciting thing ever. I was a little sad to drop him off, but when I daddy and I picked him up he was so happy about his day. It was easier on Thursday. I am not sure if I am ready for this little guy to grow up, but it sure is cute.
