Fall Days

We have been enjoying the fall except for the lack of actual Fall weather and except for the smoke that lasted 2 weeks due to our big fire. We have not been affected by that so we are very thankful. Nicholas is enjoying it and all the pumpkins and halloween decorations. His class got to pick out there very pumpkin and has been making lots of scary treats. Aunt Felicia gave us a haunted gingerbread house to decorate and we had fun doing that although I think Chris and I did most of the work while our little Godzilla ate stuff off of it.

Another big moment was getting his first Cleates. Daddy took him to Sports Mart and they picked them out and now the kid thinks he is a big time soccer star....They are so cute.

I just had my 6 month visit and am doing well...Everything is on track and baby is due to come February 13th. I even have the hospital scheduled. the only advantage of having to have a C-section. So we don't know the sex, but we know the birthstone and birthsign.....We are getting excited and baby is not giving me a break wiht constant kicking and rolling.....Cant wait to meet it.....

Pumpkin Patch

It is that time of year again and I love it...The fall weather and the beautiful days. We of course had to make our first trip to the Patch...Nicholas had so much fun exploring all of the pumpkins and scarecrows. He is going to love Halloween this year.

visit from the Ragsdales

I have not blogged in awhile I guess my pregnancy has made me quite lazy...I am feeling good although at 5 and 1/2 months you would think that I would not need naps anymore..\
The Ragsdales were in Carlsbad and Nicholas and I drove to visit them. We had such a good time and saw Oceanside pier for the first time...It was a great time and NIcholas had so much fun running around with his cousins.

More pics of Road Trip

Road Trip to Colorado

We went on our first Road trip from August 16-25th. We went from California thru Nevada and Utah to Colorado. It was a 2 day 20 hour trip and Nicholas did so awesome. We got to see some beautiful parts of the Western states. Utah is awesome with all the open land and red rock and cliffs. It was a long trip, but well worth it. You could never see all this scenary otherwise. We reached Fort Collins, Colorado and spent a great week with our friends the Patricks. In colorado we went tubing, went to some great parks, and of course went to Chris's alumni CU. It was great family time and Nicholas had a ball. We left on Thursday for our drive home. we stopped in Breckenridge, Co for one night and I loved the quaint little mountain town. Friday took us as far as Mexican Hat, Utah(Pop 28). We enjoyed the company of the locals at the swinging steak restaurant that has apparently been featured on the food network. It was really fun to hear how it is to live in such a small town. Sat. morning we did the last 10 hour stretch home which took us through Monument Valley. It was amazing...AFter Laughlin it was a long trip and Nicholas had reached his limit.....I felt like crying when we finally made it home, but it was a super trip and well worth the last tourturous hours.....Cant wait for next time....With a second baby coming it may be awhile...

Paris with my sister

In March of 2007 I went to Paris and London with my sister, Felicia and although it was in the past tense I felt like posting a pic so those who did not know of our great time could see how much fun we had. It was the trip of a lifetime and the highlight of my year(other than getting pregnant).....
