Getting caught up

Well as usual time has gotten away from me....We have been busy since the big 1 year old birthday and now we are approaching the big 5 year old bday....ugh...We had  a busy march with a wedding in Yosemite(first time leaving Emily) and then some time in Mammoth and a house full of guests.  The we had Easter and a last season ski week and Now I am anxiously waiting for my friend's visit from Missouri........I am not sure that we have had a quiet moment.  We do seem to love the business of it all.......
Nicholas who is not even 5 yet lost his first two teeth...Yes, I did cry a little.  but he is loving it and shows them to all that want to see.  the tooth fairy was very generous with 3 dollars for the first and 2 for the second...He was sure that one of the dollars he should have gotten for the second must have fallen behind the bed...smart little fella....
Emily walked on tax day at just over 14 months...She took her time about it, but is pretty stable and is loving all the practice....It is so cute to watch her bobble around.
Easter brought us a beautiful day.  We went to church and then had and Easter hunt and then went to the in-laws.  We were supposed to be in Mammoth, but Nicholas had pneumonia(which I forgot to mention above) and had just recovered so we decided to leave after Easter.

The first missing tooth...

The Easter bunny was not Emily's favorite this year, but Nicholas was thrilled to sit for his picture....Got to keep with the tradition.......

Emily Grace

Emily Grace is ONE

Well our little girl is ONE and I cannot believe how fast the year went.  It really was the fastest of our lives.  I guess that is what happens when you have kids, it just goes faster and faster...I think I have heard that somewhere before....Emily has been a joy...She is always happy, she sleeps great, and she loves us all dearly.  Nicholas and her get a long great.  He is very sweet with her..I was a little worried considering how he treats the dog.  We are the perfect family of 4.   So a little about the Birthday girl -1. She is crawling everywhere, but not walking yet. 2. she stopped eating baby food at 10 months(wants what older sibling has) 3. She has 8 teeth - must be the Dentist kids that get so many teeth so early... 4. She has a little hair, but not enough for a bow and she wont keep headbands on 5. She does not have a favorite toy, because once again she wants what her brother has. 6.  She weighs 23 pounds and I am not sure of her length, but she is pretty long 7.  She says Dada(he is her favorite) mama(rarely) uh-oh  all done(she signs it also), and I think she is trying to say Olive.  She signs more, all done, and gimmeee(seriously she made that one up) 8.  She wakes up smiling and goes to bed smiling.......She is a sweetheart and I cannot wait to be there for everyone of her firsts.....

February

Emily's party was on Valentine's day so we had a theme going...can you tell?  Hunter, Jessica and Megan having fun being the big kids at the party and hung in the tree for a very cute shot.
Here is her cake that I made and that she did not want anything to do with...It was a cute little heart though...She does not look that happy......She really wasn't at this point...
This is when she first got dressed and she was very excited to go down to her party.....
Good morning Birthday girl.

Happy Valentine's day everyone..
Our Missouri Visit to the Moreys...It was actually great weather until it snowed on the last day.  It was really pretty to see and it was great catching up with my Best Friend..I miss her a lot..They have a great house and live in a really nice town...
Emily on her first Bike ride...Doesn't she look big??
A little snow shoeing...
Our Winter Baby...Look at those eyes.....

Little skier...He is doing amazingly well....He even did a black diamond and enjoyed it.

The Grand Canyon with Chris's parents

The Tallmans

We went on our yearly visit to Santa on the Irvine park railroad....
we had to visit Disneyland during the holidays...
My parents came for thanksgiving and we had a big celebration at Chris's uncle Joe's..It was great to have both families together

Chris's cousin took a family photo for the Aufdembergs and it turned out really good...
Well somehow I have gotten more than a month behind and I just can't post everything that December brought...we had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas with trips to Arizona and Sacramento....Our kids are doing great..Emily is 11 months and Nicholas is 4 and a half....where does time go...I am going to try and put up the highlights...

Visit with Aunt Flea

Aunt Flea came to visit us and the kids loved every minute...we wish she lived closer.
Nicholas finally chose his costume...He wanted to be a knight and he really loved having a shield and sword....He was still pretty cute...He was a very sweet knight and he even shared his sword with a friend at school who had forgotten his.....Emily was our cute fairy and she only had the costume on for about 30 minutes....funny all of the fuss for that short time.....

I had a very sad week...My friend and extra limb of five years moved away to Missouri... we had a big going away party and then she hopped on a plane and is gone...It will be a big transition, but I am already planning my first  visit.....

Brenda and I at the airport before the tears started flowing....Lindsay, Brenda, and I at the big going away party.......

October

We had a lot of fun this October....Although we don't have much fall weather we do still enjoy all of the festivities...
Nicholas's school had their annual dress up and parade...It is so cute to see all of the kids in costume enjoying their moment to shine as they parade around in front of the parents and grandparents.  Nicholas waved his hand the whole time like he was miss America.....
We had to get over to Disneyland to see it all decorated up....I love this time of year because the crowds have died down and you feel like it is your local park....They added to the Halloween decor this year and we love it...
My grandma and mom came for a visit and we took them over to Disney...They had a lot of fun with the kids and my 88 year old grandma can keep up....she is amazing.
Nicholas and his class got to pick out their very own pumpkins....
OUR Little pumpkin got more time hanging with the other pumpkins....

8 months old

Well our little girl is now 8 months old.  I cannot believe it...Today we got her pics done in her Halloween costume...She is a little fairy...do you think she will like these pics when she is older?  I don't care...How long do I get to pick out her clothes for her?  From what I here about girls-not for long...So for now I will deck her out in bows, dresses, fairy wings, and tulle and she will love it.....

Our little Pumpkins

We kicked off fall with a visit to Irvine Parks pumpkin patch...The kids were pretty cooperative for the pics...aren't they cute.
She almost blends into the pumpkins...

We wanted to get some more fall pics, but Mammoth had other ideas and it started to snow a lot...so we bought a pumpkin and made our own fall in the snow...

We enjoyed our annual Tustin Tiller days parade...The kids love to sit on the curb and watch all of the fun things go by...The tops are the bands and the tractors...

You cannot go to the parade and not go to the carnival..We met up with the cousins there and Nicholas had a ball on the rides....
We also saw some friends and that was fun, because daddy didn't have to go on the kiddie rides this year.
Matty turned one and it just made us realize how fast time flies...These kids have been together since their older siblings were born 4+ years ago....Look at this cute group..I hope they don't have anymore birthdays anytime soon.....

We visited the Santa Ana zoo with Hunter and they had a ball..Nicholas thinks he runs the place he has been there so much.
